I loved this recent gift.
The SD and I were chatting about some of my favourite activities: chocolate and baking. We then compared recipes and the SD said that they had a really good cookie recipe and showed me a photo. Mmmmmm. The SD then air-dropped the recipe and I was happy to have something new to try.
Before landing, the SD then came by and gave me one that they had brought for the flight.
OUTSTANDING !

To be honest, the best chocolate chip cookie recipe I've found is the one on the back of the chocolate chip bag (at least the one that was on the Sobey's store brand in the mid 80s). I made some last night. The second best is the double chocolate recipe on the inside of the golden crisco box.
Your pic does look good though, even before breakfast...

Before, during or after breakfast....chocolate has no time zone limitations
As for cookie recipes, yes, for years I used the one on the bask of the Nestle Toll House chips (U.S. version from many years ago). I modified it over the years to include semi-sweet, milk and white chocolate. Triple hit. Perfect before breakfast. LOL
But I think this AC SD is onto something. These cookies were just fantastic partly because of the texture but mostly because of the blend of the chocolate and the sea salt. Great combo.

Got this from an SD while boarding, after mentioning the VP didn't give me one. She gave me the one she was wearing. The flag pin I found on the floor of an E90, so not really from the crew.
I wore it for a while on DL/WS flight but it's lived on Trump for over a year now...

Salted chocolate chunk cookies
1/2 cup (4 ounces or 113 grams) unsalted butter, at room temperature
2 tablespoons (25 grams) granulated sugar
2 tablespoons (25 grams) turbinado sugar (aka Sugar in the Raw; you can use more brown or white if you don’t have this, but the subtle crunch it adds is delightful)
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons (165 grams) packed light or dark brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
Heaped 1/4 teaspoon (or, technically, 1/4 + 1/8 teaspoon) fine sea or table salt
1 3/4 cups (220 grams) all-purpose flour
1/2 pound (225 grams) semi- or bittersweet chocolate, cut into roughly 1/2-inch chunks with a serrated knife
Flaky sea salt, to finish
Heat oven to 360°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicon baking mat.
In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars together with an electric mixer until very light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add egg and vanilla, beating until incorporated, and scraping down the bowl as needed. Beat in salt fine sea or table salt and baking soda until combined, then the flour on a low speed until just mixed. The dough will look crumbly at this point. With a spatula, fold/stir in the chocolate chunks.
Scoop cookies into 1 1/2 tablespoon (I used a #40 scoop) mounds, spacing them apart on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle each with a few flakes of sea salt.
Bake for 11 to 12 minutes, until golden on the outside but still very gooey and soft inside. Out of the oven, let rest on baking sheet out of the for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

@24left is that 360f for a regular oven so about 330 for fan assisted and knock a minute or two off the time?
Good question. As you know, this recipe is from the SD. I've been baking forever and don't recall a temp of 360F, so I'll assume it's a typo and should be 350F. I looked at a collection of my own cookie recipes. They bake at 350 or 375 and only one recipe calls for baking at 325F.
Also, I generally prefer to undertake slightly while making sure cookies are at least lightly browned.
I was really lucky that the SD had offered me one and so now I have a cookie-porn close-up to compare when I make this recipe.

I've had a convection oven for about five years, but I haven't dared use the fan for cookies yet. I don't want to mess with a good thing.

Air Smiles card signed by all the cabin crew. And I’ve received full bottles of wine on three occasions. They’ve discretely brought it too my seat and told me to put it in my carry-on.
Received “in-house” upgrade on a transborder- i was already seated and the IC came and invited me forward. Took my carry-on for me. Another time I was on a TPAC and after the lights went out after initial meal, IC brought me forward to J.
Probably could have got a few phone numbers but I’m too shy.
