It’s snowing in Toronto and London right now and it’s not fully cleared in at least the former.
Not a lot, but it is snowing. Could also be wind related. Some conditions require a senior pilot and they work less weekends (so I was recently informed).
Someone with EF can probably confirm the actual given reason if you define flight (there are 8-9 a day?) Maybe it’s a misplaced plane from all yesterday’s cancellations.

Toronto was a disaster last night - mostly due to ice on the runways (said my pilot) - and there were many many many flight cancellations. And of course it's snowing again today in Toronto.
I imagine the capacity in Toronto is still below normal, planes are likely mis-positioned all over the country, and it will be a day or two before everything gets back to normal.

I believe so. But it was a friend of a friend who told me so I have zero knowledge as to its accuracy In hindsight given most (all?) AC captains flying down here would have had to do a stint up North it does seem somewhat unlikely.
Either ways it’s snowing so YYZ is struggling. And of course, recovering from yesterday.

It sounds like a catch all. I’d venture AC will blame the weather regardless. But is is pretty pooor visibility out there (I drove past YYZ an hour ago) are we’re getting 5-10cm apparently.

There were several flights cancelled yesterday for the snow that didn't look all that bad. I ended up taking Robert Q on my way home yesterday in order to avoid a second overnight connection on my way home from YXC.
And there are several cancellations today again. The snow doesn't look so bad here, but YYZ may be different.
