Lounge Access on itin that is mixed class due to free upgrade?
Flying IAH-YYZ on UA and YYZ-TLV on AC. AC stock ticket.
Grabbed a free upgrade on IAH-YYZ which entitles me to lounge access in IAH.
AC rules say "Present a valid same-day ticket or boarding pass for an eligible flight" and asl enjoy the lounge while you want for your Air Canada (or *A partner flight).
It sounds like I qualify?
I searched and I only found people that had mixed itins due to single cabin aircraft.

Right. And I am departing on an AC flight. I also have a same day flight that would be eligible to grant access.
I'm definitely stop by and ask and report back in case anyone else wanted to try.
I know that *A rules would NOT grant access, by AC has some slightly less lax rules.

Ok, well... let us know how that goes.
I'd say if you're a good sweet talker or BSer, then you'll be fine.
If you also like to talk loudly in the lounge with your cool and stylish bluetooth headset, or use your bare hands to reach into the food, then you should be granted access no matter what.

I'd strongly suggest that it will go something like this:
* Hand over J BP from previous flight, agent says this is from your inbound flight, where is the BP for your outbound
* Hand over the Y BP for your outbound, it doesn't scan, you are denied entry
You can always try, but I would not plan on it.

I have a question; I am flying to HKG via YVR and YYC, if I use my eups to get business class YYC to YVR will I be able to get lounge access in YYC? This is the first year in a while that I have not had 50K so it has not occured before.
I am Hijacking this thread so I don't need to make a seperate one.

If you're on a upgrade list, then no, you will not have access by virtue of your ticket alone.

Yes, since you will hold a confirmed business class reservation from YYC-YVR, you will be eligible at YYC. Assuming of course that your eUp is confirmed prior to flight time in R space.
