FlyerTalk Forums Expert How-Tos and Guides
Last edit by: jc94
This new annual thread has been carved out of the previous thread in an effort to reduce the number of megathreads on the AC forum. For those interested previous versions are the original 2004 - 2014 thread , 2015 edition, 2016 edition and 2017 edition

The original thread started by accident but quickly became a popular place to come and discuss off topic things such as hockey, new movies, or almost anything that wouldn't fit into existing AC forum threads. More Air Canada or Aeroplan topics such as flight feedback, in-flight services issues or mileage earning/redemption are all topics that should go into existing AC forum threads so others can benefit from this information. Topics about hotels or airlines and/or their loyalty programs should be posted elsewhere on FT as should topics better suited to other forums such as Travel Products for questions about luggage or Travel Photography for discussion about cameras.

While the conversation is more relaxed as it would be in a lounge that doesn't mean however that the FT rules don't apply here as they definitely do so please refrain from controversial topics such as politics or religion, avoid profanities and treat other lounge patrons with the same respect you expect.

The majority of the recent T-Mobile usage on line [redacted my number] has been roaming internationally. Per our terms and conditions roaming benefits are not intended for extensive use abroad. You can use Wi-Fi to reduce your international usage. See details: t-mo.co/roaming
Well... that's amusing. I've been out of the country maybe two weeks in the past three months.

Lightning plan, give the Leafs so many power plays that the top lines are exhausted and Andersen falls asleep, then score two goals in 30 seconds at the end of the period!!! Go Bolts!!

A colleague got a message a month or so ago that he’d exceeded his billing amount by 5 cents.

When our listings changing we went to a shared package so I once got a text saying I only had 63,374mb (or something) data left.

Watching netflix or tethering data if Hotel wifi was slow? I can't imagine Tmobile sending that warning that due to voice calls or sms. Some who haven't heeded thay warning have their line disconnected with 30 days to port our number out.

Odd that My tmobile use is 99% int'l, sim card generaly only goes into the phone outside of US. Maybe since I have never stayed in any one country more than 3-4 days when travelling. Maybe their trigger is closer to 7 days.

Please note a number of posts have been relocated to proper forums such as S.P.A.M. for ebates discussion and to the Travel Technology forum for cell plan recommendations. As is noted in the thread wiki the AIr Canada forum lounge thread is for general banter and discussion that doesn;t fit into other existing FT fora.

I saw this sign back in May. There was a notable news story a long while back about a guy in SIN. Given that you need to do exit immigration to get into the secure area, and then re-enter to get landside after cancelling your trip, it's no surprise that this gets noticed quickly.
