MR run for eUpgrades (and suggestions)

So it looks like, I will end up sitting at about 175,000 miles this year.

Being only 5,000 (ish) away from 180,000 those 20 eUpgrade credits, it is tempting to step back on a plane to get those 5,000ish miles.

What are everyone's thoughts and does anyone have a good suggestion for a quick millage run.

I can do YYZ-SFO for about $1,300 but I am sure there are better FT's than me on here that may have some good suggestions?

How about YYZ-IAH-BOG on UA P fare ...just under C$1400.....you can spent a day there or come right back...Will net about 10K AQM and you will get lie flat from IAH to BOG and back.

Can you leave tomorrow.??

Go to CUN for the weekend/day on a UA P fare? Can be had for about $800 and should get you more than enough.

I never thought about those. I don't know if CUN will give me enough, but MEX will, at $1100 in United P...that could work.

Thank you, JordanYVR / Plumber

CUN via ORD or IAH at 150% should be safely over 5K.

Touche!

I did fine YYZ-MEX on ACr for about $1500. Given UA was $1200 and I had to connect, I don't mind paying a few more bucks. Bogota could be interesting but I don't want to travel on weekends.

Perhaps I can use that as an opportunity to check out the morning edition of the Signature Suite. Assuming a P fare on ACr is eligible

ACr is not eligible-- needs to be in 'International Business Class', which ACr does not have...

As for BOG, I did not look at all the options, but you may be right that you need to travel over a weekend...

Good luck and have fun!!

If your trend throughout the year is to purchase Latitude or j fares , then it's not worth it. If you by Flex usually , it may be worth it.

From my point of view , you've flown much, so , a mileage run is not worth it. A 2 day holiday may be worth it.

My big trips are usually SYD. I have a difficult time justifying a J purchase (as I rebill my travel) so those 20 eUpgrades could come in useful.

I ended up finding YYZ-LAX on United P for $1,000 cdn all in. That should do the trick for the 5,000ish miles I need

Thanks again, everyone

edit: re a holiday. If I spend anymore time away from the wife and kids the locks will probably be changed. This trip I can do in a day, pay for a day pass of United Wifi and there is little difference than working in the office.

To be fair, I did calculate it first

https://www.airmilescalculator.com/d...yz-to-ord-cun/

1880 * 2 * 1.5 = 5640

And could easily extend that with connections.

Here's a question for everyone.

What US Address to I put on the customs form or do I just choose in transit?

during my 1st (of 9) recent EYW trips that I just turn around at ORD, I was told to put the address of ORD. So, that is what I did for the rest of them.
