I managed to use 210k Aeroplan miles to get a mini-mini-RTW:

1. JFK-HND-PEK in NH F and CA J
2. PEK-ZRH in LX F, stopover in ZRH
3. ZRH-GVA-JFK in LX F

It is also possible to do a second stopover in HND for a couple of days but sadly I don't have time to spend in Japan ... Still, NH F and LX F are great ways to burn miles!

However, if you truly want to experience the SWISS F experience (particularly on 77W), try Far East.
As of writing HKG, PVG, PEK all bookable with Aeroplan!

PEK and PVG are generally a mixture of A330 and A340, still. HKG and SIN are good shouts for the 777.

Still a few left on the Far East. Grab them quick!

Gotta burn those points!! BOS-ZRH would've only gotten me the A340, so I had to get the 777 somehow.

@DrunkCargo came through for me.

I have one SFO-ZRH, and two ZRH-YUL.

Now the question is what to do. I suspect I'll move my SFO-ZRH to be something more like YYZ-USA-MUC/FRA-ZRH within 14 days to get value out of the 140k, and so I'm not sitting behind my companion

how do you do this? And what’s the reason for doing so?

A few hours ago I was looking at plenty of ZRH-ORD F availability in 77W. That routing however exceeds the MPM so I ended up getting to fly F in 330. But it's LX nonetheless. Guess I can't really complain

Except that it seems criminal to pay 105K for HKG-ZRH, when this am you could have gotten HKG-ZRH-JFK for 110K.

I had a TP/NZ business class booking already. I phoned up Aeroplan and changed it to LX F. Agent took care of everything, charged (or in my case refunded) the fees and said it was all good. I kept the same PNR.

On the Air Canada website it shows booking class economy O (which is really F award), and my seat assignment is in 1A, but it also says premium economy (flexible) in the header. I am confused...

Yes, I had a couple of LH F tickets and the AC BPs showed Y Economy (amusing, yet annoying), but all was correct on LH Manage Bookings as well as the LH F BPs.

This was mentioned previously in other threads and IIRC, @canadiancow explained it in a posted reply.

Just tried changing an existing booking.

If memory serves, SE members used to get the change fee waived on the first change. When was that taken away?
