The snack basket is hit or miss. Once I had to ask for it really hard even on PLH route, and even more times it was not present since nobody asked. And we have a thread talking about the missing Kit Kat in the snack basket.

I am sure I did not miss it. On December 31 on the flight from YYZ the FA told me no more chips/ chocolate snacks. (This was in response to my specific request.)
My tongue in cheek posting was just highlighting the cuts.
The lounge access that got cancelled was in BGI- not MLL

Perhaps not experiencing something one time automatically means proof that therefore it has been yanked.

Quotes from a discussion with Air Canada:
"Thank you NC. Unfortunately, Air Canada Rouge is not offering access to the lounge in BGI anymore. /md"
"What is ACr doing for those passengers who bought premium tickets when lounge access was part of the ticket?"
"We regret to inform that these options are subject to change without notice, therefore, nothing has been implemented regarding this change. /md"
"At the very least AC could have sent an email explaining the situation rather than have passengers go to the lounge only to be turned away."

We have a whole thread dedicated to Weird or just plain incorrect things FAs/SDs have said while on board.
It's quite common for AC staff, in the air or on the ground, to just make stuff up when asked questions to which they don't know the answer.
