Just sat in the oddest seat configuration Dash 8-300

Just sat in the oddest seat configuration. Flew YUL to YFC on a Bombardier Dash 8-300. Supposed to be in row 13, turns out row 13 faces row 1. Worse leg room than a standard seat for all 4 of us (1D 1F 13A 13C)

I’ll attempt a diagram

2F 2D
1F 1D

But I swear I don't FOTSG <3!!!
Just used to bigger planes (thats what she said)

edit; oh god I take it all back. First time on a Beechcraft 1900D. Smallest plane I’ve ever been on.

I think I like the shocked faces when they go on the BEH, and the continue conversation for another 15/20 min.

I actually have a shocked face when I board a DH3 and row 13 is in the back (I think there's a handful!)

That sounds like a plane to avoid (or at least those 4 seats).

Usually, the FA on that config is watching the boarding passes for the 13th row. An alert FA saves the walk to the rear and then back to the front.

So sometimes there's a need for the FA to direct one to their seat? I get so fed up of being given directions to my seat in a plane I'm familiar with. Yes J is the far side and yes row 40 is about 2 miles back I am aware of this. Oh you want to see my pass again.

Only done the Beechcraft a couple of times. That's the one without any cockpit door right? Or maybe that was changed, though I think I've also flown it after 2001.

I love them too, it is a unique experience and get to enjoy them. But I would say every single time when I am no one of these planes, I will hear stuff like "wow, this is a tiny plane" or "look, i can see the cockpit" usually follow by people start talking their "extensive travel experience" with this AirBus or that Boeing, etc...

First time I was on a BEH it was also the most turbulent flight I have ever been on. It was not an awesome experience. I fly DH3's a lot, but I always feel safe on them, I did not feel safe on the BEH.

I will be flying a BEH this week, so we will see how it goes.

I flew 7 segments today. From 6am to 10pm. On a variety of different sized planes. That BEH was the highlight of my day!!!
