Yes. I thought (and I don't ride in the miniJ that often) that the bonus shelves were an old J bonus

Rows 3, 4, 5 are best. Away from the galley and most of the noise on the aircraft. From there its personal preference whether you want window or centre seating. Stay away from row 1, 7, 8, 9 and 11.

Entirely agree. I always try to get row 3, 4 or 5 for the same reason.

I used to think the same but had 7K the other day and it was actually pretty much fine.

Another row to avoid is probably row 1. The overhead bins above this row are usually stuffed with amenity kits, headphones, or even FA's personal luggage sometime. If you board late the bin space can be an issue.

they also tend to have snack baskets in row 1 on the bulkhead with a little lamp. You listen all night to all the j passengers rummage through the basket looking for KitKats, but settling for Mrs Vickies chips.

Depends on the crew, you may have a famous AC coffee cup ghetto light in front of you, which is an added amenity. And if there is any kitkat in the basket, it's yours to grab.

I am really thinking about taking an AC coffee cup with me off the plane and make a ghetto light at home.

Quick Q

Following the thread - agree with trying to get row 3,4,5.

However for my upcoming 777-300, I have a choice of:

1 G/K, 6G, 7K, or mini-J (wide open).

Thoughts?

I was leaning toward 6G, but see Adam Smith replied about 7K being not too bad.

Thanks for any other feedback.

I like row 10 in the mini-j. I think it would be better than backing onto the galley in 6G or 7K

My choice would be for 7K. Personally I prefer to be in the main J cabin and would prefer 7K over 1G/K or 6G. 7K has a bit more privacy as well. Row 1 is always busy.

I guess I haven't been on a 777 for a while, so I was still thinking old pods.

Thanks for the replies and feedback.

Appreciate the perspective from everyone. In the end, I managed to get row 4 which opened up!

Hi guys ! First time flying AC 773 J. Here's the availability for my flight, what would you choose (flying with the wife, we like to be close but still both on window seats) ?

I prefer 7 because it's more private. The window seats are definitely not very conducive to talking, whereas it's quite easy to talk over the partition in the DG seats.

So we've established that any J seat is good on the 773.
