Cathay Pacific codeshare flight on AirNZ, credit on star alliance/aeroplan?

Cathay Pacific codeshare flight on AirNZ, credit on star alliance/aeroplan?
Have a Cathay Pacific Booking YVR to AKL via HKG. The HKG to AKL is an AirNZ metal, but booked as a codeshare. I have both BA Avios and Aeroplan. YVR to HKG is Cathay, but does anyone know if I can earn Aeroplan on the AirNZ portion?

In theory, yes. However it would depend what booking class the CX*NZ flight maps to. NZ is very stingy in awarding miles on its lower booking classes to other programmes, with the exception of UA because they have joint venture.
