Destination Bonus Event - how does this work?
Just got this in the email. Nothing I click on in the email takes me anywhere except to download an image file. Go to the Aeroplan site and this is not shown under Promotions. How the heck is this supposed to work?

Just booked YYZ-PVG in J for this promo. Thanks to YUL-PVG route, price even went down vs one week ago, along with the bonus. Pretty good win for 3K

Bummed that I had recently booked YVR-PVG return a week or two ago, which naturally doesn't qualify for this...
Nor does the flight I'm about to book to BOG since it's rouge I guess it doesn't apply.
What I will say though is, absolutely register for this, even if you think you won't be travelling. There's no harm in it. Plus I've been credited with bonuses before that I had no idea were coming to me, so there's really no reason not to. I'm gonna hope I get a bonus for the PVG trip, but I'm not counting on it.

I received it yesterday...seems pretty decent. Enough to sway my decision on TATL flights this fall, considering how the AA offer isn't as enticing as it used to be. AA used to offer 25k bonus miles for TATL in J. Now it's down to 10k).

Last time they did a promotion like this - premium economy fares and business class fares went on deep discount two days after the promo ended - so while I got my extra 10,000 points for round trip to CDG - I would have been better off to wait for the sale. Wonder if it will happen again?
