How long does it take for status to kick in?

Hi FTers

Just wondering how long it takes for the status to kick in? Been a 35K or 50K for a few years now, but last year didnt travel much and missed qualifying for the 2017/18 program.

I did however cross 25K about a month ago, almost at 35K now, but haven't received anything from Aeroplan nor has my Altitude dashboard been updated with to reflect my lowly 25K status. I could be confused but shouldnt i have been given status?

Appreciate your expert advise

Thanks

On the Air Canada Altitude page

Also worth a call to Aeroplan to inquire.

Not sure who you would call but Aeroplan doesn't seem right since this is an Air Canada program (Altitude). Also OP hasn't hit 35k yet so no point phoning until then (if even needed). Should receive recognition then but not at 25K until next year YMMV

Early recognition only kicks in from E35K which you have not yet reached. Once you do reach E35K you should see it shortly - whenever AC does the next sweep.

There are no "sweeps" until after early recognition ends.

Prior to then, it's immediate.

Don't both calling AC or AP as they just say "a few days". I'm now at day 7 waiting for my SE100K Early Recognition offer.

Ah makes sense didn't realize 25K wasn't part of the early recognition program. Thanks for the explanation.

That's why I posted the screen shot and the link to the Altitude site.

The fine print said "Early Recognition is offered as of Elite 35K status."

It might be. But I'll assume AC has a reason for keeping it. It might change when AC has its own FFP.

P25k beats no status. Even if the only flights I was able to opUp were CRJs and I used 3/4
vouchers allowing me to consume a weeks ration of sodium per trip.

Especially given the June date I do wonder what we'll see with early recognition and plans for 2020.
