Redeposit within 21 days question
Sorry, there doesn't seem to be an Aeroplan for novices thread. I looked for an existing thread to tag on to, but a mod may merge if I missed something.
I have an award for 2 passengers that I booked on 9/1/16, and the flight is in fewer than 22 days. I don't have another trip at the moment to book. To redposit, it looks like I can change the ticket to something more than 22 days out, and then cancel and redeposit. Does this still work?
If so, I'm assuming that I would pay 90 CAD x 2 to change the ticket because this was booked prior to the increase in change fees. And then I would have to pay 150 CAD x 2 in order to redeposit. Does that sound right?
One possible hiccup. I changed the ticket in March 2017 because of a schedule change. Does this mean that it's now a 3/17 ticket such that I would have to pay CAD 150 x 2 to change it to something outside of 22 days?

Couldn't you just directly change the existing ticket to the new one you want now? If they require more points, they'll just take the additional points from you.

If it were considered 3/17 tickets, you'd pay 100 CAD x 2 to change to outside of 22 days, instead of 150 CAD x 2, wouldn't you?
The wording on the Aeroplan page suggest it's based on the date of booking. So not sure whether flight changes would affect this. Best bet would be to call them.
