AC 560, the YVR SFO flight that leaves around 6am and it's UA counterpart seem to be operating normally thus far, so hopefully those who need to travel to or through SFO can at least use the travel waiver to get on an earlier flight before the delays stack up.

I have a connection through SFO on 9/20 but it looks like the travel waiver was too late for me as the only other option on AC that would work is no longer bookable (Y0). Not much left to do now besides hope for the best.

I am on the last flight out (YYZ-SFO) tomorrow. Coin toss I guess. And check-in is not working on the AC app, had to check in using the web.

Flights from the east coast are exempt from the Ground Delay Program into SFO, so you should be OK.

Yikes. AC 568 (scheduled departure 8:10 pm) appears to still be on the ground at YVR, not cancelled, showing an estimated arrival time of 2:59am at SFO.

As @etkuo said, so far the scope of the GDP is continental US + BC and Alberta, so YYZ flights should be OK. Check out this post on the UA forum:

The YEG --> SFO flight was canceled yesterday. Was rerouted via YVR and arrived about 30 minutes late (from the scheduled departure time for the 8:10pm flight).

Thanks.
Yes, the flight was not delayed due to SFO. And bonus the skytrain was working.
It did leave late for a variety of reasons incl aircraft swap and delayed bag loading - so we left almost an hour late. And the 787 became a 321 and everyone's seats got mixed up including mine. I was told I was on a preferred seat which it was not so I went back to the gate after boarding and switched seats. Everyone in PE on the 787 was SOL.

Looks like AC739 has been swapped to a 321 twice in the last few days. Any idea why?

AC's travel advisory for SFO only extended till Sep 10. Anyone know why it wouldn't be for the full construction period?

What they said in YYZ was that they swapped a 787 for a 789 and then to a 321. So mech issues ? Or maybe they were just blowing smoke.

Looks like many delays today. Most of them have reason of 'late inbound aircraft'.
SFO-YYZ AC756 at 1.30pm leaving at 4.15pm. The 4.30pm flight is currently delayed 30mins though I expect this to increase so this flight will arrive at YYZ after 1.00am tomorrow.
