While I'm still pretty much writing off future EYW contests, I finally did end up with a few WiFi badges in the last week which pushed me over 2000. I had pretty much written it off as investing too much time already for a few measly points.

I wonder if this will be finalized today, yesterday's tweet said they would be.
I've dropped to 28 now.
People immediately below already have a lot of wifi badges so hoping they have nothing else outstanding

But... even with the notices, I am not sure I quite believe it is over yet. So, I shall withhold further comment until tomorrow.
At this point, I have received all the wifi, but still missing 4500 wings worth of hotel/rental car, for which details have been provided.

Wonder what's going on, looks like they granted and then took away badges?

Top10/Top30 badges are posted. So it looks "final"
BUT looks like they closed up shop before posting my wifi badges. I am owed 8500 wings from gift cards and wifi. they acknowledged my emails twice.

I guess I will start with the simple statement that I am quite pleased to be in the top 30. Most of the contest period, I did not think it was possible (I did not even buy a single gift card, for example).
I did see that higher number (64,225 wings) briefly when I transited in YWG today. However, I did not have a chance to see which specific badges had been awarded and then later disappeared. While it looks like it would have been a combination of 10 hotels/rental cars, I can only speculate, as I certainly have heard nothing yet from the team.
All iIknow is that, by my count, I am still missing 1 rental car and 10 hotels.
After that, though, I need to ask how it is possible for me to be so irritated when I just scored such a good prize?
Yes, it is a first world problem of the highest order, so let the mocking begin. I do know it is not the 4000 additional miles which would have accrued, though I am tempted to ask ManofSteele for the 4000 miles.
Right now, I have no great answer, but it has something to do with realizing that the systematic inability to record wifi, hotels and rental cars, could have very, very easily cost me a top 30 spot. Today, I was just lucky.
