IKK question / seat blocking?

IKK question, tried searching but couldn't find the answer.

Booked 4 tickets using IKK on March 11 BGI-YUL AC975, called in to reserve my seats got the last 4 That were open - all all over in the cabin - I was curious to check the loads out and there is still J1 Y9 as per expert flyer - I can even IKK some additional seats as of now but there are no open seats -

Has anyone encountered this before ?- I am travelling with kids ages 5 and 9 and would really prefer to have seats together before the travel date.

Cheers,
Klove007

Is it possible a tour company (even AC Vacations) has reserved a block of seats?

That would be my guess, too. A large group booking, a cruise block, a tour company or similar.

I was split up from my daughter on one flight. Not a problem, she was just over a year old so I start setting up the CARES harness, and was about to tell the guy sitting in the seat next to her tips on taking care of her but he volunteered to switch before I could start, lol :D

Love it! Sounds like a great plan of attack, if I don't get a seat before then!

Oh, and be nice. It was a domestic flight so I offered to buy him anything on the glorious AC onboard menu. He already ate but appreciated the beer.
