E50k + 25k = 75k
I am E50K (2019), and tried an old points.com offer link. I was offered 25K for $499. Lol.
What are the odds that I could end up E75K by taking this offer? 50+25

... That said, I don’t see how I would make use of anything new in that tier...

It's not available to everyone, it's a targeted offer by AC. You're only eligible if you get an e-mail from AC.

Altitude Upgrade offer to E35k, worth it?
Hi, first time posting on FT
Just received email from Altitude that offers me an upgrade from P25 to E35 for 779CAD+ tax.
Does it worth the $$ to do so?
So far I am not quite sure about my travel plan this year. Maybe 1-2 long haul trips from YHZ to Asia or Europe from Sep to December, and 1-2 short haul trips in NA
im also 3k Miles away from united premier silver next year. Should I accumulate on united instead?

IMHO not worth it if you’re already P25k. For the amount of travels you do, you can just use your guest passes for lounge access. If you end up flying a bunch you’ll likely early qualify for E35k anyways.
if you really want lounge access, it is cheaper to get an AmEx Plat card which will get you into more lounges than E35k.
If it were $100-$200 then maybe, but it’s a rip off at that price.

I received it as well. Back in January the price was $599, now it’s $629. Why would I pay more now for less benefits? These people are stupid.

I find Z2 pointless on long hauls as Z3 is going to be fine to get your bag on (not that I’ve been below Z3 in years). Short haul you can probably get PY or J for a few extra $ especially if you fly UA J. Priority security is nice but for a max of four flights saving 15 mins per?
So in your case, I’d say better spent elsewhere. IMHO.

E35K will not get into the MLL for the Asia / Europe long haul flights either, except where there is a combined International/Domestic lounge.
For the same amount, you could get Amex and Priority Pass, for example.

I've just been offered 35k to 50k for $899. I was really excited when I clicked on the link and then totally underwhelmed. Doing mainly YYZ or YOW to YVR, I already get the things I need at 35k namely elite check in, fast track security, lounge and priority boarding.
Given its now March and I'll reach 50k in my own right by October, it just doesn't seem worth it!
I wonder whether AC have a proxy figure in CAD for the delta in costs to them between the levels and then add on a mark u.
I think they're missing a trick here. For folk to be spontaneous, it needs to be an eye catching price to click right away. If the price appears high, then people will do the maths and make a choice which is likely to result in a lower uptake. I was thinking it was say 400-500 bucks, so as soon as I saw 899, i closed the browser in 2 seconds

Does AC offer buy up to E50K?
A friend of mine has been E50K off and on for the past 20 years (occasionally he has been P25K or E35K). This year, he will likely finish with around 45,000 AQM and about $12,000 AQD.
What are the chances AC offers him an opportunity to buy up to E50K instead of being dropped down to E35K? A couple of years ago he had 49 AQS and they gave him E50K anyways.
