I do wonder what the criteria is that is being used for the buy up offers...
mrs.najetset finished 2016 with 75AQS and $25,000 AQD. first time in 7 years not making SE. Sent in email appeal for review and consideration of comp to SE. Response: No Bloody Way!
Mrs.najetset also unilaterally and directly controls over $200,000 in annual spend on Air Canada for employees, this was also made clear in the status bump email, seemingly with no effect.
no buy up offer email received yet either.

If you're going to fly even the same amount as last year and your routes include some ex-Canada destinations, I'd be all over that offer.

The company does have a contract with AC, and she is the contract administrator.
Do you have secret knowledge of the corporate program? And what the benefits are/should be? Or are you just speculating that status is a benefit of having a corporate contract?
Sure there are perks provided for the contract, but none have been around status. Mostly it's just negotiated fares for certain routes that are most frequented by staff.

The benefits are not secret. You have to negotiate with them. AC is willing to give discount, free tickets, special fare rules and even status. Status is usually only give to SR level management. Although $200K is nice business, AC does have a lot of corp accounts spending 10x, 20x or more with them, so be careful what you ask for. I would have her talk to her AC rep. Also, the type of tickets you are buying count too.
