Amongst the general public (including your wife), yes, you're crazy.

A much more enjoyable ride, far superior to your AC experiences, especially travelling with 2 people, you can actually talk to your wife during the flight unlike AC.

ET is pretty budget - but if you are not on the 737/767, its fine.

The rest is very decent

Enjoy your Istanbul layover and the Turkish lounge there.

That is an insane amount of fees for an award ticket.

On an award booking, free hotel? Have you confirmed this?

Haven't flown SN longhaul or ET, but you will have a great time on OS and TK. Their catering is similar in that both are catered by DO & CO, but TK has more food and variety. Actually too much. But no other airline has OS's coffee menu, which is a great novelty.

I was in BRU about a month ago and actually really enjoyed their BRU lounges. Great food, modern and comfy seating, great views and they let you borrow a Microsoft Surface during your stay...

I have flown SN TATL from BRU. It was great. Good service and I had the best meal I have ever had on an a plane.

I talked to the rep on the phone to select seats and she said yes. Long layover and no earlier flight out then you get a hotel for the night. Anyone else can confirm this?

I guess because there are lots of stops are why the taxes and fuel charges are a lot.

And here I thought you had booked a trip to Iceland on WOW, and were about to be hugely disappointed for a) booking on an airline that has no business class, and b) the deluge of posts about you booking this in the wrong forum.

Incredible never heard of this in over 20 years especially for award flights, now but if you get it take it!

Nothing to do with that - its because you are flying AC and Austrian across the ocean - cut those two flights out - and youd be paying a max of $200

The Africa flights depart from a special wing - there is a lounge - but not as good as the regular SN lounges there.
