Hey now, I contributed TATL breakfast upthread, presentation and all! ;-)

Next time I am going to Europe and PE is super expensive and I am out of eUps (prognostication: soon) I can post some. Should we include whatever pastry thing they serve in a box as the "snack" on TATL westbound? To quote my kid on AC889 last week "I am pretty sure that is not food".

Sounds like you have a smart kid.

(or depending on your perspective, a slightly spoilt kid..., but being an eternal optimist I'll go with the former)

If you mean the Monty's bar, I typically have it in lieu of the J snack. It's good

@RatherBeInYOW
Yes, you did and thank you. Sorry I missed it. I was on vacation from AC FT at the time.

Todayís selection from AC841

Lunch - pesto chicken
Snack - cookie, ice cream and chocolate square thing
Pre-arrival snack (not pictured) - the boxed chicken pastry

overall not bad but it definitely was a sugary snack

Perhaps Iíve just been numbed from too many flights in Y (including UA which I find worse) but it wasnít bad actually. Presentation was a solid 1/10, but for taste Iíve had worst. The chicken was actually good and not dry at all. The mashed potatoes were mass produced mash potatoes, canít say much more. The other veggies were ok. My one real issue was with the ďcarrot and apple saladĒ that seemed to have pure white vinegar as the dressing. If it werenít for the salad, I would have given this an above average rating

I read this tip on here a few months ago and it has changed my meal time on-board! I also now slice the bread and warm it up this way. If Iím hungry I find I can just use the scorching hot foil to accomplish the same while I eat the main

There's apples in that carrot salad? It just looks like a bunch of shredded carrot.

Ac868 - yyz-lhr - 28jul19

I have flown on the AC868 Daytripper (YYZ-LHR) in Y on July 28th 2019 and thought I would report on the status of the meal service.

Two choices were offered, omelette or pancakes. I choose the omelette, hoping for some proteins instead of a carb overload. Here is the tray, I was pretty happy with everything. The omelette actually was better than the plastic ones they serve in the MLL, potatoes contained bits of bacon, sausage or ham, not quite sure what exactly but my wife would call those "bits of dead animal". There was also a cheesy guacamole-tasting sauce on the same which was strangely addictive. Fruit salad was melon-heavy but fruits were reasonnably ripe and not frozen. I didn't touch the bread so I can't comment.

This is the pre-landing snack. There was a choice of cheese sandwich or cheese and turkey. I went with the latter.

Bread was stale and dry. I just went for the cheese and turkey. The cheese was some kind of smoked gouda and turkey was a nice thick slice.

Verdict: Yeah, I'd stick with that on my next flight. I was reasonnably happy with how everything turned out but I was also glad I brought some snacks as I was a bit peckish towards the end of the flight.
