I noticed UA announced LAX-SIN today. With that and SFO-SIN in place, will either of those routes be AC codeshares? or maybe they are, but I don't know about it.

Right.

I thought there was a rule about code-shares on the transoceanic sectors, or maybe that was it having to be on 014 to earn on Altitude etc. Someone else can correct me.

I thought you got miles on any Star Alliance flight?

Maybe not Altitude, but AP's. I know there are some fares where you can get 35% of the actual dollars spent or something, but I thought you earned miles.

You can imagine the reaction of any of us FF's who sit in United economy for 18 hours and earn 0 miles. That would not be a funny event.

Sitting in UA Y for 18 hours is not fun regardless of how many miles you earn. However, my question was around codeshare opportunities on the route or the new LAX-SIN route that SQ will operate next year. I hear that SQ will only offer J and PY seating on the 359ULH

The info on the SQ route is in the link I posted above

Also, to be fair, if UA just released the news, I would expect it will take time for *A partners to post their partnership on this, if any
