Nice.

Time for AC to add an Express MLL at YTZ!
(I know I know... wishful thinking)

Nice to be able to get to YTZ from YOW without having to defect to Porter. Was this a route prior to COVID or did AC only fly YTZ-YUL before?

Only YTZ-YUL.

Perhaps AC is trying to kill off PD.

AC last flew YTZ-YOW until I think Feb. 2006 when fledgling PD evicted them. Either PD have relinquished 8 YTZ slots that AC have picked up or AC are not going to go back to 15 daily YTZ-YUL departures and will split it 8 YOW, 7 YUL. I doubt it's the latter.

I think this is partially a warning shot to PD, given PD have made it no secret that YOW will be a major base for their jets...could even end up being their primary hub with a jets/props mix.

That would be nice, Took my third post-covid flight through YTZ last week. That would be nice.

On AC rouge front, I saw this one under tow a few weeks ago.

I have taken YYZ-CAN on China Southern periodically; I like the midnight-ish departure out of YYZ, so I am curious to see if AC departs in the same bank as its HKG/PVG/PEK flights.

With the dawn of a new year, and COVID-related confusion between what's a new route vs a resumed one, and AC's tendency to announce route changes of all types all at once, we'll move discussion of new routes over to an annual schedule updates thread, starting with the 2022 edition. This is also in keeping with the community's expressed desire (in discussions in this thread) towards fewer long-running threads with potentially stale information.
