That is so kind of you, thank you so much. I have found the relevant file and think I understand the entries. This is much more than I expected.
71(data line entry) ACA888 (Flight No) CFBEM (Tail No) 762 B762 (Plane type) CYOW (Dep airport) 624 (landing time) 635 (gate arrival time) H07(Gate number) 3 (Terminal ) 027R (no clue) 1 6 (no clue) 210701 (Date)

I have never seen this website before and have been looking for confirmation of this data for years. It means so much to me to be able to confirm this.

Thank you again
Emma

AC Historical Aircraft - Nostalgia

I was looking up Jazz's fleet and noticed they once flew 757s. I completely forgot/missed that, which is disconcerting as its one of my all time favorite types. Can anyone offer more insight on this?

Made me nostalgic so I thought I'd post. My first (commercial) flight ever: AC YYZ-LAX on an L-1011 circa 1980. Also remembering DC-8s and of course: The Queen.

To Mods: I searched for a historical fleet thread and did not find one. Please feel free to merge with an existing more appropriate thread.

The 757s operated by Jazz were Thomas Cook aircraft for sun destinations. They never flew for AC.

So basically a branded wet lease?

Pretty sure they said Thomas Cook on them, not Jazz. They were Thomas Cook planes, and marketed as Thomas Cook. Jazz just provided the crew.

Welcome to photoshop.

That plane never existed as such.

(Never flew on a L-1011 or DC-8. But 757, yes. Only in the US though. I believe my first flights were on a DC-4, then DC-6 then Caravelle, 727, 737, 707.)

Makes sense that I don't remember seeing them then. Good to know.

Awwwremember my childhood, pre the 320s at AC (and the whole Mulroney scandal), when DC-9s plied every relatively short haul route ex-YYZ, including pretty much all the Rapidair flight to YUL. That was way before I started tracking my flights, but must have flown on AC DC-9 dozens of times.

I remember one particular flight, I think YYZ-EWR (or maybe LGA), and we were unlucky enough to sit in the very back, right next to the engine. Boy, it was loud back there.

No 333?

On AC, all of these except the two Vickers, DC-8, 345 and the L1011s. Never flew on a Vanguard, DC-8, constellation or 345. But flew on virtually all 73x, 757, the smaller Embraer, 727-100, Caravelle, MD80 and 90, A300, A310, A330, 707-320, ATR-72, SAAB 340. Also some 8 passenger twin piston engine, don't remember which. In addition to the planes I mentioned above.

DC-10-30
F28
These too, but the DC-10s I flew on were not CP. My wife flew on the CP one, I did not. I flew on UA, RG, Viasa ones.

In that last row DC-9 seat, I recall the distinct feeling of dropping as the plane rotated on takeoff before feeling the climb.

Oops fixed the missing A330.

With non-Canadian airlines I've been on each of those you have flown along with A380, Tu-154, Trident, Fokker 100, DC-3, and a few random smaller ones.

Never managed to get on a BOAC VC-10 when they flew from YYZ in the '70's and would have loved to have been around to try a Constellation. Also missed out on Concorde.

This is the reason I always book the last row on MD82/88/90 and CRJ lol.

Even on regular aircrafts, the last row is bumpier on landing. If I am sitting in Y and I dont beed extra legroom, there is a good chance that I am sitting at the very back.
