That was a fun day. Had a few pics taken of me by a Toronto Star photogrpher trying out the new lie flat seats and they got picked up by Getty Images and were published in papers in Houston and as far away as China. My 15 seconds of fame!

Yeah. The IKEA furniture in there was getting super tired. Well, I'm assuming it was IKEA, because it sure looked like it.

I love IKEA stuff, but I'm not sure it would take the pounding an airport lounge gets. More likely it was something sturdier, isn't it?

perhaps, but I'm pretty sure there were some actual IKEA stuff
i liked the business area because it was hidden in an nook on the far side

I don't remember it well. Was it at the back? To the right after you come in the check-in?

And there was an upstairs area to that place too, right?

IIRC it was quasi curved at the top section.

IIRC there was an elevator... but I can't remember exactly where.

their shower rooms were very bare bones

I've never had a shower in any AC lounge. Only ever had showers in airport lounges a couple of times.

I've always wondered that story was true, or whether he was just trashing the place like a rock star would trash their dressing room or hotel room...

luckily I never had any earth "shattering" disasters at the old LHR T3 Lonodon Lounge or the old LHR T3 AC Arrivals MLL shower rooms
