Delayed codeshare UA meal vouchers

So I was on a flight from DFW on UA that got delayed 3 hours such that I would miss my connection. So finally they transferred me back to AC to route via YYZ. I'll still be about 3 hours late departing and arriving.

My ticket was an AC 014 ticket stock but United operated. Now I'm back on UA.

UA won't give me a meal voucher for less than 4 hours but I know AC will usually give a voucher for a 2 hour delay. Think they'll give me anything?

Can you elaborate a bit?

You were on 014 operated by UA, now you're on 016 operated by AC?

Who do you want to give you something? It would have to be UA, the airline that delayed you. If the AC flight is on time, why would they give you anything?

Yeah that was my logic too and why I wasn't even gonna ask unless someone else on here said otherwise.

I guess the only logic is that it's an air Canada codeshare. But makes sense the other way. Thanks eh
