AC uses 2093 when calculating eUpgrade credits required, but give you 2078 when posting to Altitude. Try something closer to 5000 miles and you might see yourself getting the short end of the stick on both fronts: 26 eUp credits consumed and getting less than 5000 AQM.

Would the select an eUpgrade-able option still work? And do they still give you option to up the fare for using lesser credits?

Calling in works of course. Assuming one can get thru and not be cut off.
You can upfare online between the families.

Tango to Flex, Flex to Business, etc.

But there's no way to go Flex L to Flex G.

Hey @canadiancow, what about the 'deeplink' system you once posted?

How (where) do you do that, and is it only for fares purchased on AC.com, or can it also handle fares purchased via a TA?

So it looks like a semantics change that makes it less simple.

Anything labeled Tango requires copay, so no surprise there,
Anything labeled Flex but taking on former Tango fare classes (branded) requires copay.
Any Flex using pre-existing Flex classes remains status quo.

Amirite?

It lets you specify fare class, but not Flex/Tango.

So if there's a Tango G, and you specify G, you're getting Tango, because it's cheaper.

Can we have access to this system instead of the dumpster fire known as ac.com?

Do the people in management positions at AC required to take "How to have contempt for your customers"? I understand they want to squeeze every penny out of people, but do they really have to get this ridiculous?

Even if nothing is actually changing, the second option has bad optics. They should have introduced a separate fare type. Maybe Tango Plus

Only purchased on AC.com. Just click "Change flights" in MMB.

Maybe I'll build a tool for it

This should actually be so trivial that I don't really need help

My current project, however, is more complicated.

Maybe I'll work on it when I'm flying around this weekend.
