C on eastern triangle
Just bought a C ticket on the Rapidair triangle which is a great deal or at least far cheaper than the regular J fare. Requires a 3 day advance booking and is reasonably flexible. Earlier this month I bought an L fare which was completely non changeable, even for a SE. No same day standby provision which really sucked. But on the C tkt, I was able to change my return from YYZ very easily. Bravo AC.

During this sale, I believe that C is actually cheaper than M.
Cheers. |
These C fares are a good idea. AC should try the concept of reasonable pricing of the front cabin more often. Hopefully the current sales / promotions on the Eastern Triangle will continue after Jetsgo has been forced off the route - but I wouldn't bet on it.

There used to be one on YVR-YYC as well, C3OW if I recall correctly, not a bad deal, in my opinion. However, it seems to have been replaced with MBOOKC - still booked in C class, but at the price of an M fare.
It's funny that AC has loaded another M fare on YVR-YYC, MSTRB, which is the same price as MBOOKC ($221Cdn each way + taxes + surcharges), but MSTRB is only good on ZIP flights. Hmm... J on mainline vs. economy on ZIP... tough choice. |
I agree with I'llMissCP that these fares will only be available until Jetsgo is forced off the routes! I urge everyone to support the low cost carriers (mainly WS,SG,CJ) because these fares won't be available if not for them!

I'd have to say, though, that the people running Westjet don't really seem to be a bunch of fools.

I just flew into YUL on the C is cheaper than M fare. As a result of it being a front of the bus fare, I get 2500 LH miles for the journey, versus the 625 that AP members get into their account. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
