Same here. I checked an award booking I did last week and the website still quotes me at the same price/number of miles this morning.

I received an e-mail on this yesterday at 5pm.

YUL-EWR on 8/31 has some results for 7,500 AC miles.

See the promotion rules.

What were the dates and origin/destination? Did it meet the T&C and still not result in a lower quote?

Apologies for being a grammar-nazi, but pretty impressive to get both "less miles" and "fewer miles" past the copy editor in the same advert.

Got all excited for this when I saw the email thinking shorthaul was dropping from 15,000 to 10,000 or something like that. Finally some positive news from Aeroplan. Nope... I was wrong. It is the 'market fare rewards' that are dropping. I never buy those. Disappointed.

Have yet to see anything different YYC/YVR or YYC/SEA.

Also promo rules and rules for short haul are to inlucde Alberta-Oregon, but these are suddenly showing up at 25000 on Fixed Mileage.

Le Boo.

I cashed in all of my 31000 miles for an AMEX card for $250. I then called AMEX when I received the card and got AMEX to send me a cheque for $250.

...isn't that normal price for a short haul award?

Yes, it is. My mistake. As YYC009 alluded to earlier, this promotion is actually concerning Market Fare and not traditional AC Reward Chart short-haul awards. In a way this reminds me of the WN Rapid Rewards program, with a point value somewhat tracking revenue cost.

I found access to the Market Fares on the Search Results page by clicking the tab toward the top of the flights.

So the only benefit I see to booking at Market Fare rates is that the selection of flights then matches that of revenue bookings -- like WN, also.

My personal takeaway is new knowledge of the short-haul chart, providing excellent opportunities both to hop up to Montreal (from EWR) or visit tiny, far-flung Canadian airfields in locations such as Saguenay and Sept-Īles.

Copy and paste? Proof-reading optional? Maybe a different person wrote each section of the ad, and one of them is not a native English-speaker?
