Sky Regional acquired Q400 from United

So, I'm sure there's been posts about it but Sky Regional acquired a number of Q400 aircrafts from United.

I've noticed several issues:
1) The overhead bins are smaller and so it isn't possible to get my roller bag in the overhead even though it fits in the sizer and other Q400. There should be skycheck but there isn't!

2) Yesterday July 8 on AC8601 the Q400 arrived at a gate in YOW but they couldn't get the stairs to detach and therefore they couldn't get the bridge to the plane. It took 10 minutes to reposition the aircraft and allow pax off the plane using stairs and walking across the Tarmac.

This is the first that I've heard about SkyRegional picking up some of the disused UAX Q400s. When did it happen?

I think 4 ex-UAX Q400s are going to Jazz. Fin 495 is ex N507LX, and Fin 497 is ex N510LX, considering Fin 496 and 498 are also in the same group I'd bet they are similar.

AC8601/08JUL was operated by a Jazz Q400, not Sky Regional.

My bad, maybe it is Jazz rather than Sky Regional.

I found the bins on Skyregional from YTZ to YUL too small to fit my roll aboard but the same roll aboard fit on a Westjet Q400 a month earlier. Odd.

I think I was on one of these recently. Blue leather seats.

Just one of the many differences between the Q400 and Q400NG.

RS operates the original Q400 (acquired from Lynx Aviation) that do not have the cabin upgrades present in the Q400NG that WS purchased for use by WR.

Good to know. Thanks. They did have sky check so that was totally fine.
