A330-300 Fleet Overview

AC currently has two configurations of 333:
  • Dream Cabin (16 aircraft): Latest 3-class configuration in line with the 787 and 777 fleets (seat map)
  • The "Merlions" (2 aircraft): ex-Singapore Airlines 2-class configuration (seat map), which are expected to be reconfigured to the Dream Cabin.
    • Important note: the front cabin on these aircraft is an angle-flat product in a 2-2-2 layout that was SQ's "regional" business class. On flights within North America, AC sells it as J; on international flights, they sell it as PY. These aircraft do not have the standard AC PY cabin
    • Since October 2023, these aircraft primarily operate YYZ>BOG>YUL triangle, and YUL<>LAX.

Just a small point of clarification: only GVA currently originates at YYZ; BRU has originated in YUL for the past few years.

C-GHLM hasn't made it's way back yet, but looks like it's scheduled for YYZ-ZRH on Nov 13.

C-GHLM lands at ~11:30AM EST in YYZ today, with around 5 hours to spare before its first post-reconfiguration flight to Zurich ^

C-GHLM (the re-configured 333) is on AC111/194 today - if anyone could get some interior pictures, that would be greatly appreciated !

Dammit! I just flew AC194 the other day - stuck with an older A330 on that date though.

I'll have to watch these flights a little more closely and see if I can snag a flight on one of the updated a/c. ^

Unless you fly PE, I don't imagine there is anything to ^. J will be the same but fewer seats (I suppose a positive in some peoples' eyes is less availability for scum sucking bottom feeders to upgrade. Y will be the same except for more pax fighting over fewer lavs.

Maybe the plane will get a deep clean.

The Lav (as opposed to the Lev) at R2 has been removed which formerly accommodated J which has been replaced with PY in the "B" Cabin. The densification of this aircraft is minimal and the added traffic to the Y Lavs translates to approximately 6 Pax per Lav.

I'm still waiting to see if they'll sneakily reduce Y seat pitch. The 33" in some parts of A333 Y is positively luxurious by AC's current standards.

Sneaky AC!!

As suspected, those sneaky .......s snuck in two more Y rows!! 31&32!

Doesn't look like they're selling PE yet, probably waiting for at least a second aircraft to come out of the shop for reliability.

Where was the 33" Y pitch before? I would guess the rear section of Y seating hasn't been changed then?

Maybe not. Didn't these 2 extra rows come from the small J cabin space?

From a previous thread:
33" legroom: 18-30 DEFG

32" legroom: 18-26 AC, 18-30JK, 35-42 AC JK, 34-50DEFG

31" legroom: 27-30AC, 43-51 AC JK

But as Wpgjetse said, it could be coming from moving the cabin forward and thus have no decrease in legroom. We haven't had any reports yet to confirm anything...

Could be a bit of both. However the two seat maps show row 18 well over the wing in the old configuration, roughly two row ahead in the new one.
