A330-300 Fleet Overview

AC currently has three two configurations of 333:
  • Dream Cabin (16 aircraft): new configuration more in line with the product on AC's 787 and 777 fleets (seat map)
  • XM: AC's old configuration dating from the mid-2000s, which is being phased out (seat map)
  • SQ (2 aircraft): Singapore Airlines configuration, which is being phased out (seat map)
    • Important note: the front cabin on these aircraft is an angle-flat product in a 2-2-2 layout that was SQ's "regional" business class. On flights within North America, AC sells it as J; on international flights, they sell it as PY. These aircraft do not have a normal PY cabin
    • As of October 2023, these aircraft appear to be mostly used on YYZ/YUL-BOG, YUL-ALG, and domestic/TB TCONs (e.g. YUL-YVR/LAX)

The aircraft are gradually being refurbished to the Dream Cabin standard.

But no, I do not want or expect Tango passengers to get PY for free.
GAs and FAs will call it W&B reasons.

Unable to view/select seat rows 10-13 on A333?

I am booked on a future flight (AC 194) flying from YVR to YUL. My flight itinerary shows the A333 as the aircraft type, yet when I go online to select my seats the seat map only shows 9 rows, and the AC phone reps are saying the same.

I cant find any seat references online showing ACs A333 configuration having only 9 pod rows.. I always recall this flight being on the A333 and having 13 rows; is there some special way to view/select rows 10-13, or could it just be that the aircraft type has changed for my route and AC hasnt updated it?

Any insight is appreciated

I'm looking at flying YYZ-FCO in May on the A330 and saw that I can get a good deal on PY. Is there anything I should be worried about booking it now if the refurb isn't complete yet? I'd hate to book premium and get stuck in regular old economy. Also, the seats should be the same as the PY seats on the other planes right?

It'll most likely be done by then. The seats are the same as the 787 PY seats except with blue fabric instead of the dark grey (see a few pages back for pics). The TV might be the older system though.

I can't say with all certainty. AFAIK, While PY is not currently being sold as an available product on the aircraft in advance, the last flight was a converted fin and had "x" number of actual PY meals catered. My expectation was that the cabin would be empty, but all status Customers were moved into the cabin at the gate on a complementary basis. (Flight not full in Y). The video system is still Thales - probably because the expected lifespan within the mainline fleet is known by a higher authority and the cost of complete conversion could not be justified. Just guessing.

Very helpful insights! I guess I'll find out next week and report back.

Interesting.

Friday May 5 YYZ-YVR with a 330 on the schedule.

On the way to QPG or SIN maybe?

Sounds like it's just a regular revenue flight. I'm only guessing but would think aircraft bound for QPG/SIN would ferry empty to HNL for fuel and a crew change.

AC normally ferries empty YYZ-HND-QPG, that went for the Rouge 763 conversions and at least some 333s too.

I guess based on this news in the other 330 in SIN thread, it's time to update the wiki here.

And let's take a moment for poor 932. <sniff>

There must have been more damage than initially thought, as AC's statement claimed that the damage was to one of the exit doors.
