A330-300 Fleet Overview

AC currently has two configurations of 333:
  • Dream Cabin (16 aircraft): Latest 3-class configuration in line with the 787 and 777 fleets (seat map)
  • The "Merlions" (2 aircraft): ex-Singapore Airlines 2-class configuration (seat map), which are expected to be reconfigured to the Dream Cabin.
    • Important note: the front cabin on these aircraft is an angle-flat product in a 2-2-2 layout that was SQ's "regional" business class. On flights within North America, AC sells it as J; on international flights, they sell it as PY. These aircraft do not have the standard AC PY cabin
    • Since October 2023, these aircraft primarily operate YYZ>BOG>YUL triangle, and YUL<>LAX.

Still waiting on TK and JL :P

And cut me some slack on BA; Brexit and the pound slump kinda forced that, no? Not that I have any sympathy for anyone who flies BA.

So that's 3 of the 8 in at once. They certainly aren't going slowly.

Considering how often these birds go MX, I guess AC is used to operating with a few missing from the fleet

^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

Hopefully they come back with a better dispatch rate, along with the refreshed cabins...

Isn't Nov/early Dec usually slow for airlines?

Somewhat, it's certainly not an unusual maintenance time.

Pretty sure most if not all of them will be bases at YUL. Just looking at the schedule for next summer the following routes are A333.

AC301 YUL-YVR
AC874 YUL-FRA
AC884 YUL-CDG
AC832 YUL-BRU
AC834 YUL-GVA
AC892 YUL-FCO
AC823 YUL-LYS
AC824 YYZ-AMS

Thats all 8 aircrafts, however I don't count AC301 as it will be back in time to operate an international flight from YUL in the evening.

There are still very strong rumors going around that YUL-CMN is to be switched to mainline and the A333 would be a great plane for the route. Plus they still need to figure out what they will be doing with that 788 arriving from PVG at night. I can't see it siting at YUL overnight.

I'm hoping they do. They can keep the aircraft busy, by cleaning it before putting it into service the next day.

If YYZ-AMS will indeed be operated by 333, I suspect a YUL-YYZ flight will be opereated by 333 as well to ferry in the aircraft.

The current "B" cabin. Removal of the R2 lav and the garment cupboards across from 10A. Suspect the aft facing section of the mid-galley will be removed or modified as less J seats will diminish the catering stowage requirements.
