Post Your 2016 Threshold Gift Selections Here!
For reference, the 2015 thread:

I'm about to cross 60k AQM, and just noticed that there are AMEX gift cards, which are a better deal, IMO, than any other kind of gift card (see previous Amazon offering).
I'll probably pick the 1500 AQM though...

and the choices were 1500 AQM, 5000 AE miles, $50 Amex card, or a
one year subscription to Lo-Jack.
In past years, I always valued AE points in terms of 100-120K = $5-8,000
J or F ticket to Asia. So 5K points would have been "worth" some $200 - 400.
With the points devaluation, loss of SE benefits, blocking of J/F throughout
the Alliance; it was an easy choice for me to pick the......... gift card.
Argh!

E-up credits are every 20 K after 60 K.
The threshold gift is another animal, it is different for each level
( I believe at 90 K for E75, 120 K for SE100)

No more flightpasses as Threshold Gifts past 200k. That's a pity.
Will hit 150k Friday - will probably pick the points at this stage. Nothing else particularly exciting me there.

Wat?!
They ran out of cufflinks and those fancy coffeemakers?
(I need to find Nomad's posts from last year where he got all the prizes early on in the game )

The flightpasses were a good option (planning to use my Southwest FP from hitting 200k last year this weekend). Points, bags, headphones every SE already has and Amex giftcards not exactly exciting.
Still, free stuff is always nice!

Air Canada wants you to earn every AQM and AQS. No longer are they willing to give you any free flight pass credits. Your flying is detrimental to AC, especially if it's on a free FP credit that still gives you AQM/AQS.
