eupgrade same from economy or premium econ?

sorry if this is answered elsewhere, my search did not find an answer...
I have bought a ticket in Premium Economy on transatlantic flight, i would still like to upgrade to J for the overnight flight. is it the same number of e-upgrade credits from PE as regular economy? seems unfair. 21 credits!

OK I don't know why I didn't find this the first time but I did just find the info:
As SE on TATL:
PE (O fare class) 11 credits
PE (N, E) 21
Lat (Y, B) 11
Flex (U,M) 16
Flex (V,Q,H) 21

I guess the part I don't understand is why *any* PE fare would be the same number of e-upgrade credits as Flex

Yes, it is.

If you go to https://services.aircanada.com/eupgw...vice/eupgrade/ and click "Preview eUpgrade requirements for your itinerary", it will tell you exactly what it will cost.

EN fares cost the same as HQV fares.

You say "it's not fair", but what was the cost of your PY ticket? What was the cost of a Flex ticket?

The cost is based on the cabin you're upgrading into, not the one you're coming from.

Because there are times PE is the same or cheaper than Flex

I asked that question when they made the new ecredit announcement but was never answered .

My personal opinion is N should equal V,Q,H and E=U,M

But I don't really have control over AC

On PE you'll earn 125% AQM vs 100% on Flex.
