Then I guess that disqualifies any taken from a Q400 without a wing walking harness .

Those would go in the under-the-wing photo thread

Unlucky, because out of my 50-ish SFO approaches, I've been wingtip-to-tip with another plane on the 28s about half those times. I'd rate that as a common experience.

Bad weather being when the ceiling is below about 2000'. And/or winds not from the west.

When the weather is good, the preferred configuration is landing two side by side westbound about 5 miles apart.
In that gap, two will depart northbound side by side.
Can't really know which side is the wrong side when I book my seat
When I took my video, everyone on board was looking out the window, even those on the other side of the plane.

As for bad weather, that's harder to say. I will note that most of my flights into SFO are not during daylight. Maybe it's generally less busy and there isn't a second plane landing at the same time?

Even taking off, my experience doesn't match what you say. They always alternate. If I'm on 1L, 1R will take off, then after a delay (maybe 30 seconds?), we'll take off.

No need to invalidate another person's claim because it doesn't match your own experience. As I mentioned above, I have seen plenty of parallel landings (and a few takeoffs as well) when visiting SFO. Spend a few minutes on Youtube, and you'll see that this correlates with the experiences of many others as well. The weather must meet defined minima, or else aircraft separation requirements increase and parallel takeoffs & landings become unworkable.

Of course, it's entirely possible the poster with whom you disagree doesn't understand anything about air traffic control...

A flight from 23:55 - 5:00 in the winter isn't conducive to photography!
But if you must.........

Earlier in the evening, sunset over the Persian Gulf.

Anyone know which ski hill this is?
West of Toronto. I think it's either Mansfield Ski Club or Hockley Valley. Neither of their maps looks like this picture though.

@tracon

Recall I mentioned to you that I was in the YVR Dom MLL at the same time, looking out the window, wondering why the blue bird was there for longer than usual.

I took these from the MLL. Same bird?
