2015 AQM Threshold Gift in 2016
 

So I passed 60K AQM on Dec 30th/31st.

Miles posted on Jan 4th ish or whatever. Well past January 1st is the point.

Flights did not cross Dec 31st. So flights were completed on Dec 31st.

Threshold gifts posted.

The eUps the were deposited with an expiry of Feb 2017.

But if I choose the AQM what happens? :eek:

Do they get applied to the 2015 or the 2016 AQM counter?

I had the same thing as you. I finished my flight on Dec 30th, passed 60K AQM.
I chose 1500 AQM for my threshold bonus, then I found out the AQM applied to the 2015 AQM counter on my Altitude dashboard. Basically, the AQMs is useless for the year 2016.

Is there not fine print somewhere that says which year the AQMs go to?

Sorry to hear you got a bit screwed on that one...

Same thing happened to me last year. It was particularly irritating because when you choose this is not made clear. And, had already received EUPs that were valid in 2015 so no reason to think the same standard would not apply. Took it up with AC but no change in their practice or my choice.

Makes the choice super easy then.
