Aeroplan Awards - Stopover Rules

I have a question about Aeroplan international awards. Do they allow stopovers (>24 hrs) at an intermediate point for either one-way or round trip awards? Links to more detailed stopover rules would be appreciated as well (e.g. what criteria needs to be satisfied for a legal stopover location).

No stopovers on one-ways, two on roundtrips.

E.g. IAD-FRA (stopover)-PVG on Lufthansa
PVG-NRT(stopover)-IAD on ANA
Is the routing eligible? Thanks.

Check the mini-RTW thread, but sounds like it would work.

What about a North American itinerary. I always thought a stopover was < 24 hours but the agent at Aeroplan told me on a North American ticket it was < 4 hours. Searched everywhere but couldn't find anything.

http://www.aircanada.com/en/travelin...-16%2015:24:22

Rule 180AC STOPOVERS , statement (A)

"..no stopover will occur when the passenger departs .... within four (4) hours after arrival at such point."

Edit to add:

And additionally, https://www.aircanada.com/en/agents_...Operations.pdf

"DEFINITIONS

Connection
North America: within 4 hours
International: within 24 hours"

That is taken from the domestic tariff. The international reads different.

Would have figured it would be a common enough question that it would appear in an FAQ or somewhere in HTML and not a PDF that looks like a scan from 1972

I have looked through historical posts and quite didn't get the answer for my question.... so adding it here for a bump before creating yet another thread.

As I understand -

- there are no stopovers one-ways. Understood.

- 1 stopover and 1 open-jaw permitted if travel is between Canada/US - Hawaii/Carribbean etc. Would this only be permitted if oneway is AC and another is *Alliance? Or would this be permitted if both-ways are operated by *Alliance partner (like UA)?

- is stopover allowed on round-trip wholly operated on partner airline (like UA) within CONUS? For instance: EWR-ORD(stop)-LAX(dest)-EWR.

The airlines booked have no effect on the stopover rules.
