"CIC" ?
Does 'CIC' stand for anything? Is it an abreviation of some kind? Is it for AC computers only? How do they pronounce it? SIK, KICK? C-I-C?
Thank you for quenching my curiousity! |
Sounds like the system in TA's CRS, computer reservation system, for looking up AC rules and policies, like bereavement, etc. It's kinda like a book with chapter and pages, so you might've seen it referred to as CIC 170/8.
At least, that's my guess. Where did you run across the mention of CIC? |
CIC is the encyclopedia containing everything you want to know about AC. Limited access is available to travel agents (through their CRS) and full access is available to AC employees accessing from Aeronet or the designated website.
|
I presume it means Internal or Informational Circular but is it Confidential Internal/Informational Circular?
At any rate, we can't see them unless we get access to AC computers. Empress should know . . . [This message has been edited by BlondeBomber (edited 12-28-2002).] |
or maybe it is Computerized Internal Circular . . .
or Confusing Internal Circular http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif? |
it is pronounced "kick" I was told once
what it stood for but I have forgotten |
It's usually just referred to as "CIC information system" for employees. Most of the employees probably just know it as "CIC". Think it stands for "Corporate Information Channel/Communications".

Yeah, we pronounce it see-eye-see
|
I guess I just see it referred to here mostly, and once on the paperwork accompanying my ticket.
