Too bad you need a Paypal account to purchase - not going near them again.

S&H to Canada is "international" and pretty pricey. It is a good Xmas gift idea however for a B.I.L. who's very hard to buy for if it isn't too late.

If you watch the 25 min video, the owner says he hopes to get them out before Christmas. I wouldn't expect it to reach Canada by then though. (Tip about the video: If you already know the story, it's just a quick rehash. If you don't know the story, watch the Mayday episode - much more informative)

I can already see the leading thread on Dec. 25: "Spouse didn't appreciate my Christmas gift and I have no idea why."

FTer: This is the coolest Christmas gift ever.
non-FT spouse: Why did I get a piece of scrap metal?

From the fine print of the site:

Pay via PayPal; you can pay with your credit card if you don’t have a PayPal account.

I wonder if they measured these keychains in Imperial or metric units?

I tried that route but it still asked me to create a Paypal account. I'd be delighted if there was a way around it.

Later - there sort of might be, but not if you click on "Checkout" - need to click on Pay Pal credit instead and scroll right down to the bottom to find the CC option- then it would not accept my email because it was already associated with a Paypal account, so used another one - and then Google told me that the website was unsafe and refused to proceed with the transaction. Enough!

Well it was not enough, so I tried to use IE, which ended up with the same website alert and gave the impression the transaction had not gone through, then I received an immediate fraud alert from Amex - turns out that the first transaction had gone through as well as the second. Now in the process of cancelling one of the two orders.

Not sure where the problem lies - Paypal or Plane Tags, but what a fiasco.

Received mine today. It's actually a lot bigger than I expected. It's pretty nice! It has the white paint from the previous AC livery on the front and the green anti corrosion coating on the back.

Thanks for the update. Out of curiosity are the edged smoothed out?

Yes, they are sanded down so they aren't sharp.
