Aren't doing what anymore? Upgrades from any available J seat? Don't think it has ever been that way (before the gate) in the ~12 years I've had elite status.
In the olden days, Latitude could have upgraded from P space on this flight, but those days are dead. There's lengthy and detailed discussion in the eUpgrade thread on that.

My limited (like 15 Euro flights in the past 2 years) experience seems to be that either the Lat upgrades either a) clear at time of booking/eUp or b) at the gate 1 hour prior, but so far I haven't had one recently where they 'cleared the list' a week or so before the flight. I would hope that in the case of J9/R0 that will happen at some point.

Interesting that AC's own media release from this morning says SCL isn't restarting until Jan 2022, yet tickets are bookable beginning in December.

Posting this here as it's "fare bucket" related, and I don't see any other apparent thread to ask this.
I just noticed in Expert Flyer that you can no longer search for "I" space and there's a note saying this is "at the request of Air Canada". Anyone know what's happening there? Also, is there another method of searching "I" space besides Aeroplan's own search?
