PLEASE NOTE THIS THREAD IS ONLY OPEN TO THOSE WHO HAVE (I) MADE AT LEAST 5 POSTS ON FLYERTALK AND (II) BEEN MEMBERS FOR AT LEAST 30 DAYS. SEE THIS POST FOR EXPLANATION.

A few FlyerTalkers with access to ExpertFlyer are willing to use their subscriptions to look up availability for fellow FTers. Please note that ExpertFlyer offers free 5-day trials, and subscriptions are reasonably priced at US$4.99 per month for a Basic account and US$9.99 per month (US$99.99 per year) for a Premium account; consider subscribing as opposed to posting in this thread.

If you would like to request availability, as long as you have been a FlyerTalk member for at least 30 days and have made at least 5 posts, please include in your post:
  • Route (e.g. YYC-YYZ)
  • Date (e.g. September 5)
  • Flight number (e.g. 142)

Note that EF searches are by route and by date (see this post for details).

Are you asking for a guess?

Thank you much!

Yes I am Hah hah.... Flying with the partner whom will be using Aeroplan. There's space on the April 13th flight for Aeroplan but we'd rather fly out on Saturday and get an extra day in Korea.

As an aside: How do you get the capital letters to stick in these messages? The forum seems to lowercase everything.

Ouch! That's a long flight. My advice to him is to drink heavily.

Can I ask a dumb, and possibly offensive question?

How are so many FT members so cheap that they can't afford the small fee that is ExpertFlyer and do this on their own? I'm just wondering. Mystified, actually.

Can't speak for others, but personally and based on my flying patterns, I don't feel I would get enough utility out of a subscription. Judge me as you please.

I know seatmaps are a bad gauge, but is this 'discrepancy' unusual? Currently showing 18 out of 30 seats unoccupied, even though it's J4 (suggesting 26 out of 30 are taken).

While not terribly offensive, I think it's more than a little unfair. I just checked the last year or so worth of requests and that exercise led me to believe that you didn't do the same. I'd have to say there aren't a lot of repeat customers asking for EF numbers.

$100 USD is not a "small fee" for one or two requests over a one-year period. I'm happy to help out if I see an unanswered request when I pop onto FT; one can certainly unsubscribe from the thread if one is mystified by the cheapness of one's fellow FTers.
