Everything from simple alerts for my favourite seats and watching upgrade space, through to exploring cheaper fares and getting the 'truth' as to why my flight is late. After a while, I realized it was my 'go to' app when travelling and bought the Pro subscription. I'd prefer a better mobile experience (like a real app), but it's easier to use than mobile FT.
Having said that, I still prefer KVS tool for mini-RTW and other reward shopping. I just find it faster.
But I guess, like any specialty tool, if the value to you isn't worth the hundred bucks or so then don't buy it.

BCD Travel Tool for Fare Availability
BCD Travel Tool for Fare Availability
FYI for those of you who don't have access to EF or KVS... I found this free availability checker site (BCD) from one of the travel blogger sites:
https://flightavailability.bcdtravel...MnAvlMain.aspx
1. The "hover over" results can be copied and then pasted to a document editor, however, you may want to manually format the results to your liking
2. It doesn't return any fare class that is zerod out, so for example, if you are looking for "R" and it doesn't show on the returned fare classes, it simply means that it is R0.
3. This is "bare bones" and doesn't have features like alerts, saved queries, etc.
4. You can only search for dates starting from today to within 10 months from today.
5. Requires Captcha (human) verification, so it can get annoying if you're doing multiple successive queries

Any free tools that show P class?
Hi there -
Are their any free tools online that will show P class? I thought I could use the Air Canada website, and if Business Lowest was available, I could get an e-upgrade with my Europe Latitude pass, but seems like that is not always the case.
Absent any tools, could someone tell me what AC 858 and AC 842 show for 6/24? Trying to figure out which one has a better upgrade chance.
The BCD Travel tool shows a lot, but not P (or R) it seems:

The tool can display P and R just fine. I think what's happening is that instead of showing a fare class that's sold out as 0, it's just not showing it. So if you see no P, P=0.

Thank you all - I thought it did show it in the past, but was surprised when the 2 flights I looked at didn't show it... 0 makes sense now
Guess I will stay at the top of the 842 list until a few hours out and switch over to 858 if things start to fill up.
rant: J7P0 with 5 days to go is super annoying inventory mgmt /rant

Believe it or not, AC does actually sell last-minute J tickets at very high prices, especially on routes that have a lot of business traffic. They will leave as many J seats open as they think they have a decent chance of selling. With five days to go, still plenty of time for them to sell those seats.
