Hit 100K AQM again as of today so SE again for me next year. Fortunately AQD is not an issue for me as I have exceeded that number. Will be interesting to see what they change with the program next year.

I'll hit 50k miles no sweat this year, but my AQD will be more like $5000 rather than the 6k they demand, so I guess it's not a complete drop from SE to jobber status, but 35k might as well be. I really only care about the IKK and the Star Gold, but I guess I'll have to find another way to get star gold.

Either that, or he/she just flies to Asia on the cheap.

If you wait for sales, you can pretty easily fly P fares for 10cpm all in.
The resident AQD requirements are 12cpm for lower tiers and 20cpm for SE.
That being said, it's clearly why they added a minimum.

I just checked mine, and my flights are showing as well as my AQD. My latest flight was on August 24th and the AQD appeared on August 30th.

I'm the same as you. Crossed the threshold last month. Yet I think the program needs some tweaks in 2017. I believe SE should not have to wait to 60K for Eupgrades to kick in. Also I'm well over 20K in ADQ but that it's still too much. I will finish 2016 close to 185K

For 2015 I calculated my AQD as being under $4000, so this year I've stepped it up to flying Flex more often in order to get to $6k. With my future bookings it looks like I'll just clear the bar.

I was flying YVR-YYC-YMM a lot, on flex, so qualifying in my old job would've been easy. Plus I was flying a lot for leisure on my off days. Long story short, job is no longer, so flying is 100% leisure and I'm by no means rich.
I had flights booked prior to the AQD requirement being introduced too. So I flown JFK-WAW-SVO return, YVR-HND-HKG, YVR-TPE-MNL all on Star Alliance carriers and earned not a bloody cent. When I am flying on AC, I'm almost always on tango because I find the flex fares to be often pretty ridiculously priced.
Looking back I should've switched all my FF numbers to TK, as I've already flown more than the 40,000 miles they require for 2 years of Star Gold. But to get preferred seats on AC I have to enter the number, then I suppose try to change it afterwards? In any case it's too late for that.
At the end of this year once my AQD is all added in, I might try and squeeze in 1 more flight to knock it to $6k but if that's like $1200 I won't be doing it, I'll just sit with 35k, then move all my flying next year to TK, but even then with TK lots of the lower fares don't count, like AC tango within Canada or to the US, so I may just opt to fly UA, credit to TK. But that's another thread lol

I usually book all my Tickets on AC.com. However the flight I want is $1000 cheaper on FlightNetwork.com. I am aware of the potential extra change fees from this site, but what I am most concerned about is earning Altitude Qualifying Dollars. Considering this is a consolidator fare, will I still earn Altitude Qualifying Dollars?

Astute observation.
Considering the only real differences between E50 and E35 is *G vs *S and a few more eUpgrade credits, it seems like a steep price to pay. Even if allizdog spends a lot of his segments flying in the US, there are less expensive options to access lounges and still have money left over for the odd LMU.
I don't mean to second-guess anyone, it's just an interesting perspective.
