77L to HKG

Booked to go to HKG from YYZ next May in J - trying to figure out the situation with which pod it is and where we should sit. It's a 77L with Premium Economy available for sale.

Since we are travelling as a pair, would you recommend 6D and 6G or somewhere else?

One in A, one in D, or One in G and one in K. This worked very well when Cow and I flew together. (he was surprised!)

Just make sure you stagger it right. So like 3A, 4D

Keep in mind this is a reconfigured aircraft, so we don't actually know exactly how the staggering will work.

If it's like the 788, you'd want the same row number.

I assume the new fleet maps are a good indication. For the 77L, it does look like same row number applies, just like the 788.

Ick. What do you think the chances of them having fixed the horrible legroom situation in Row 12 of PY is? Probably zero, eh?

I've flown that type of reverse herringbone with my wife. Grab the two seats in the middle. It's next to impossible to have a conversation across the aisle.

Mea culpa!

Looks like upgrades will be a breeze too.

Seems like the people in PY are getting the short end of the stick here

I recently heard that some people prefer that.

Personally, I'll always take J, but those PY seats aren't bad.

It's the new configuration for their fleet - so many complaints about leg room and shrinking J cabins that they have decided to go with all J ( minus the 24 PE ) 777. And I believe they have said the fleet will all be retrofitted
