Jokes, jokes... I love the older AC ladies. Their perma-frowns are amusing.
I'm sure all the female AC staff can't keep their eyes off you either. Must be tough being so really, really, really, ridiculously good looking?

Oops sorry. I think that based on Cows comment AC is timing it intentionally so that they roll out the uniforms when the 737s launch.

Their 80th anniversary is April 2017, wouldn't be surprised if the new uniforms are released in conjunction with any celebrations that are occurring.

You may be right...

For the 75th anniversary, I was lucky enough to go to the 787 tour show in a YYZ Hangar and Air Canada had the Flight Attendant (plus Pilots and Ground Crew) fashion show...it was pretty neat...

The next announcement will be the new paint scheme.
AC is almost overdue for that.

I guess it'll be cool to see 80 year old employees as well.

OK, I have to ask! Why did they announce it so early? No one is going to remember 18 months from now when this gets implemented. I mean it's cool! And fun! And great! But a bit early no?

I have to disagree, red is a bad idea from a client experience perspective. red helps to actually increase anger - when in a metal tube at 41k that is typically a bad idea. If they are being smart about it they will reduce the red as much as possible.

I don't think I'd describe ACs current scheme in any way 'green'. For sure blue.

It is rather unique how it changes colour depending on lighting, as well as sparkles (though they toned that down since it was first introduced). Easy to identify in a sea of white aircraft around the world.

The only real problem is it clashes with the new interior and new AC corporate colour palette.

i am sure the employees will be excited to get a "new look" uniform after so many years. Nice to see AC doing something for the employees.

Also it will be nice to see the new uniforms, maybe some cool hats.

If they wanted Maple Leafs on the uniforms they would have hired Roots.

I know for a fact that the employees want Maple Leafs on the uniforms.

Apparently, it gets you the summers off from April-September.

Good Call AC! ^
Do not confuse industrial uniforms with haute couture. These clothes will be mass produced in some foreign sweatshop. I anticipate that the uniforms will continue to feature man made fabrics that start to shine after a few wears. No one is too comfortable in the polyester blends used in airline uniforms that don't breathe very well.
