Fred Penner on AC881. Was seated in J a few seats from me, and was approached by several flight attendants prior to take off.

Some FAs wanted to chat but were working in Y, so he got up a few times to visit them in the back.

He was very gracious in answering their questions and was looked after with all the respect he deserves ^ (I still have a vinyl LP of his from the mid 80s).

I was wondering when one of the MLL dragons came up to everyone watching TV and said she had received a 'mandate' to change the channel to CTV.

I think a few others also did a double take. Was certainly surreal to see a duo sitting next to you and then seeing them on TV!

I wonder if that means they won and they are using their prize of a year of free travel in international business class....

If so....it would be the second team from Winnipeg to win....

They were ousted in the last episode. Maybe they were just going home.

They lost last night. She failed miserably at the biathlon - took her over 100 shots to hit 5 targets, meaning they probably finished hours behind the 2nd last team. Too bad, I can think of a few other teams I would rather have seen knocked out before them.

Derek Sharp of The Guess Who on AC411 today, seated in 2A. Commented that he was rouged and wasn't looking forward to it.

Burton Cummings was on AC1147 today. Seated in 2F, very friendly with the passengers around him and with the flight attendants.

He is pretending to be "The Guess Who" and Rouge is pretending to be "Air Canada"

Pretty sure we saw Erin Karpluk (of "Being Erica" fame) in baggage claim at YVR yesterday. My co-worker absent-mindedly bonked into her while lunging for his bag on the carousel...

Hmmm! Coming from the UK that conjures up an interesting image. ;)
