Are United mainline P fares no longer eligible for AP mileage accumulation?
I flew YYZ-EWR-SFO on July 7 on UA on a P fare.
YYZ-EWR was a regional operator (I don't remember which one). EWR-SFO was mainline.
Both boarding passes had my Aeroplan number (they showed AC-xxxxxx123), and said "Star Alliance Gold".
YYZ-EWR posted normally, EWR-SFO hadn't posted after 14 days, so I submitted a missing mileage request.
I just received a reply. It had this nice little box that shows me they were able to look up the ticket (otherwise they wouldn't know it was a P fare).
Awesome, they're going to tell me what the problem is!
Nope, I definitely flew EWR-SFO.
The boarding pass definitely says 1984, so that can't be it.
I guess that means P fares on United mainline are no longer eligible. There is no other explanation according to the email.

Strange, considering P is explicitly listed as earning 150% on the partner page for United.

Sounds like a CYA email listing 3 different reasons and leaving it to the OP to figure out. Call them and they will likely agree and credit the miles. Perhaps our friends at UA did not file the correct paperwork with AC/AE and either flight or carrier or fare class was not communicated in the mileage charts. Very easy to deny claims via email, much harder to do so when talking to someone who can reason back.

What a pain for OP to have to chase these miles that are owed to him!!
My guess is you are going to start getting a bunch of finger pointing:
Aeroplan: "All we show is what United reported...speak with them"
United: "We reported correctly. It is Aeroplan's fault. Speak with them"
Good luck...Hope all gets resolved. P is still showing as 150% earning on AP site, so I hope it stays that way.

Perhaps this is related to the same glitch that has kept many people from earning their Aeroplan miles on flights operated by Skywest and other regional carriers for UA?
