Can I get a special meal on one flight, or does it have to be the whole PNR?

If the former, can I get a different special meal on each segment? (in this case, it's SFO-YYZ-SFO, so nothing crazy).

By default, special meals are for the whole PNR if you select it during the onlien booking process (or if you get a lazy agent).

You will need to call in and ask them to do "segment select" and order a different meal type for each segment.

Yes. This is possible. Though given AC's lamentable hit rate with even the most straightforward SPML orders, you obviously introduce greater opportunities for error as you ratchet up the "complexity".

Never tried this one (at least not for two legs on the same day of travel). Are you returning on the same day? If not, just call in after completing the outbound?

No, Friday/Sunday (family is doing Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, which saves me a vacation day).

Good to know. I'll just do the whole thing now, and change it on Saturday.

Though last time I requested a CHML over Twitter, I got flack for not being 8

Edit: CHML

What was the contents of the meal? Ordered my kid a domestic "Children's Meal" because there is no way he'd eat the food in J.

Appetizer tray on PLH is awesomesauce. Apple slices and caramel, veggies and dip, etc.

The main has been a fairly bland pasta for me. If the flight's empty and that's the offering, I may ask for a regular main.

I wish I could get the chicken fingers. So jealous.

PLH child meal main.

Some kind of meat sauce and cheese on macaroni.

Bland, but way better than the last few CHML pastas I've had.

Got a bit of a nice surprise today with the DBML. Usually I'd get the chicken with black bean sauce, the chicken with coconut milk, or (now fairly rarely) a nice chicken breast. Flying YUL-LAS tonight and the DBML was some sort of braised beef/stew. Fairly tender and tasty. The FA serving the meals was as surprised as I was when she served me the tray

Does Air Canada J menu have a standard veggie option?

Hi all,

I have my first flight on Air Canada J from MUC - Montreal and wanted to know if there is a standard vegetarian option on the menu?

If not has anyone had experience with VLML (Vegetarian Lacto Ovo) meal in J?

Thanks,
Nikesh

The veggie option is usually the pasta. There is always cheese.

Are you flying MUC-YUL non-stop? If so, that flight is operated by Lufthansa, not AC.
