Inconsistent pricing

Looking to book a trip from YYZ-EWR-YYZ. Prices are as follows for Tango fare both ways (all in):

aircanada.com (Cdn edition) - $319
aircanada.com (US edition) - US$237 (C$302)
expedia.ca - $318
expedia.com - US$190 (C$242)

The AC Best Price Guarantee does not apply to US websites, so guess expedia.com gets the business and I will get 3% cash back using a rebate portal.

I was even prepared to buy Flex fare for the return trip as it was only a $21 premium over Tango, but don't know how to do that on expedia.

Except for the latter, looks like dealing with exchange rate issues (updated once a week I believe) or rounding up.

Latter is odd. Price might change in the process of booking.

The suggestion to check matrix is always a good one.

1. Use ITA Matrix to search for Flex Fare flights.

"ac / f bc=m|bc=u|bc=h|bc=q|bc=v|bc=g|bc=w" in advanced routing codes

2. Once you have found the flight you like, use the ITA Purchase Userscript to go to Fare Freaks.

Link to userscript: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/24971590-post152.html

3. Use the link to farefreaks.com to generate the fare on the expedia country site of your choice.

Thanks for the suggestion, but ITA is quoting me C$340 or US$247 (tango outbound, flex return) depending on the currency I use. Strange since all the OTAs I looked at had the $190 fare.

I went ahead and booked on expedia.com for US$190. Willing to pay a $20 premium for flex, but not $75. Guess all those ecredits are going to go to waste again this year. :(

It's ok. Since you won't be using your eUps, AC will be upgrading non-status pax from Y to the emptier J cabins. :) You're doing the non-status pax a favour :p

Uh, I don't understand. You'll have to explain what you're getting at.

G is domestic and USA flex. MG is routing to EWR, so G should be flex.

AC still has the best J class in North America. Entitlement is the reason AC is reducing the J class cabin. Why give it way for free. Want J, buy it. Last time I looked, Mercedes does not give you a S Class when you buy a B Class car.

AC (and other FFPs) created the entitlement, so it's natural to pi$$ and moan when they claw back (personally, I don't care all that much).

Mercedes has never offered a frequent buyer program that gave you free upgrades to another car class with the frequent car purchases.

What I'd really like to know is why expedia.com can sell me a ticket for 25% less than AC (28% if you include the cash back). The upgrade is not a big deal on a one hour flight.

But they already do.
