A few things.

1) Travelling on an AE reward ticket, booked under someone else's points. Zone 5 on BP. GA argued with me even though I had my current Elite card in hand for Zone 2. Instead of yelling, I explained (verbosely?) that these sorts of BPs cannot be changed, etc.

1.1) Zone 1/2 had to use 3/4/5 lane. Since I was in lounge prior, I looked for the zone signs. My mistake. I should have looked at the slowest lane and put myself into 3/4/5, since that is where Zone 1/2 was boarding from. (duh! I should have known!)

Fail: GA argued with me, while I had a Elite card in hand.

Win: Umm, I got on with Zone 2 (but it delayed everyone behind me)

2) Sitting in econ. Plane is now delayed. Apparently a 'sticker' is missing that some govt body wants to see. I was JUST on this aircraft from YHZ. Either the govt folks in YHZ didn't do their job or this is not a govt issue and a re-fueling/stocking thing.

Fail: Flight delayed.

Win: I made my connecting flight :rolleyes:

3) Gave written meal tray pref to SD/FA as I boarded. J meal selections are all done now (still on ground), and I got asked first for my meal pref!

Fail: None!

Win: We'll see if I can get the meal!

I am curious - how can a GA outright deny a card that explicitly says Elite/*G for the current benefit year? Are they illiterate?! Sorry to hear you had to deal with that!

1) I AM ON A PLANE AN POSTING THIS. OMG. SO COOL.

2) She didn't deny me, but she did have too much sass for someone who is clearly uninformed about the Altitude program. Bottom line: at the gate, if the Altitude Card matches the ID and BP, it doesn't matter what the BP zone is...

I'm an Elite member because of my flights last year -- which does not change if I am on a reward flight.
